Our Food Pantry accepts donations to help neighbors through the in-between times. Bring food anytime.

Care for the Least of These

Through Family Promise we provide overnight shelter and meals for homeless families one week each quarter. Volunteers are always needed to cook, serve and stay overnight. Contact Linn Groft to volunteer.

Our Caring Ministry provides love, care and support for our members struggling with mental illness.  We also offer care team support for Beloveds who are ailing or in need of assistance. You can get involved by bringing food or materials, providing transportation, or giving financial assistance. Contact Grace Roberts for details.

Our Children’s Ministry provides opportunities for youth to learn, grow and develop into whole people of God. We could not provide this ministry without dozens of loving teachers and mentors. Talk to Nancy Sales to volunteer.

Justice for the Oppressed

As a member of Alabama Arise we organize with low-income people to advocate for better state policies in the Alabama legislature. Contact Robyn Hyden for information.

In partnership with Greater Birmingham Ministries we serve people, build community, and pursue justice here in Birmingham. Talk to Rev. Angie for more information.

Giving to Our Church’s Wider Mission supports the mission of our denomination, the United Church of Christ. Talk to Denyse Thornley-Brown for info.

We also participate annually in the Birmingham MLK Diversity walk, Central Alabama Pride, and numerous other justice activities – often spearheaded by our members.

You never know what’s going to happen next!

PrideParade 2014-138Join us for countless acts of kindness and justice, organized and not, known and unknown.

Film screenings, advocacy work and discussions are ongoing. Many local peace & justice groups meet in our space.

Beloved runs on volunteer leadership and support. Volunteers lead the services, teach children and organize events. Feel free to step up, help out, and do what needs to be done.

This is God’s house – that means it’s your house. Sign up for our email list to stay in the loop.
