- Bible Study: We meet on Wednesday nights from 7-8 to study the book of Hosea. Dick Sales has done extensive research on the issue and continues to do a marvelous job teaching the scripture so that we can all understand.
- Church Council: This is the church Board of Directors, which coordinates the ministries, activities and finances of the church.
- Caring Committee: We are charged with identifying needs and "caring" for the members and visitors of Beloved Community. Our work changes as needs are identified. Please join us.
- Mission and Outreach Committee: We work to make those around us aware of the special place we call Beloved Community. We need people who can think out of the box to help us spread the word of love and healing, and to serve the needs of the community.
- Multicultural Families - "In the Mix!": We are creating community among racially mixed couples and families by providing occasions to share experiences and havae fun. Contact Jessica at jpeoples9525@charter.net.

Just print the menu, fill it out and get it to Molly by the deadline shown.
- Language Class: Begun by Chip Rowan as an outreach to the international community with the goal of empowering our neighbors for whom English is a second language. Every Sunday afternoon from 4:30 to 5:45. Currently we have both Latino and Chinese participants but we welcome speakers of any language. If you are interested in helping contact Lillian Callins, Nancy Sales or Denyse Thornley-Brown.
- Race Matters Book Club: This effort enables regular and intentional cross-racial dialogue, understanding and reconciliation. We have already read Race Matters, It's the Little Things: Everyday Interactions that Anger, Annoy and Divide the Races by Lena Williams and Night by Elie Weisel and Lest Innocent Blood be Shed. We are currently reading from Sojourners magazine on "Christians and Social Justice." The Book Club meets once each quarter - sometimes we have movies! Come join us! You may contact lcollins@uab.edu.
- Pledge Your Time and the Resources God has Given You: Save the pledge form to your computer, fill it out and send it or bring it to the Church. Do not make changes to the form without first saving it on your computer. You may also click here for a form you can use to help the Church meet it's financial obligations and continue with the many ministeries it supports as well as carry out it's mission to be a place where all people are celebrated as precious children of God. Again, save the form to your computer, fill it out and send it or bring it to the Church. You may also make online donations by clicking on the "give" button on the navigation links in the left and bottom margins. God bless you!
In a new church, each person feels that "I am truly needed!" As we grow, you may feel that "everything seems to be running smoothly without me, and I'm not really needed." Let me assure you, nothing could be further from the truth! Beloved Community is still in the process of becoming all that God desires us to be. There is much to be done, and much that is left undone. Volunteering at the church is about "joyful service." That is, find what you love to do and do it for the church. Do you love gardening? Then plant and nurture a flower bed. Do you like working with children? Then teach a class. Do you like to sing? Then sing! Do you like to create a sense of order? Then help us organize our space downstairs. We need you. And I can promise you that, as you offer yourself to God's Beloved Community, your own life will be enriched and increased.
Please keep us in your daily prayers -- Beloved Community Church, its members and its pastor!
Blessings,
Angie
